William Xavier Braitsch Jr.

April 5th, 1980 – September 4th, 2020

William Xavier Braitsch Jr., aka Will, aka Billy, aka Mr. B., was born on April 5th, 1980 in Belleville, NJ.

A self-identified "Teacher of English", Will dedicated his life to helping his students navigate life's challenges and was well known for his unique and highly creative teaching style that has inspired generations of students thoughout his 18 year career.

He was deeply admired and widely regarded as one of the best teachers at James Campbell High School where he taught AP English for 13 years.

Outside of the classroom, Will loved to travel and visited over 140 countries throughout his short lifetime. In 2005 he joined the JET program and taught English in Saga City, Japan for two years. He was an active marathon runner and a member of several adventure hiking groups in Hawaii. In his spare time, he very much loved playing his acoustic guitar, singing karaoke and BBQ'ing on the beach with close friends.

Will is survived by his mother Debra (New Jersey), younger brother Michael (New Jersey) and older brother Stephen (San Francisco, CA) and is deeply missed by countless friends, colleagues and former students throughout the world.
